My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We found Carl from a family who was fostering him. They had multiple dogs and cats and couldn’t keep him. We fell in love with him and brought him home. Unfortunately, we are not a real active family. A member we have in the household just had cancer surgery. Our yard, we feel isn’t big enough and we actually are used to smaller dogs. Carl is great with our 11 year old, but our 11 year old has generalized anxiety and gets hyper which makes Carl hyper. Carl is a great dog, he’s just not a fit for us. We’ve spent a lot of money trying to get him toys and keep him busy, but he needs more walks and activities that we just can’t provide at this time. Honestly, our hearts are broken, but we feel Carl needs to be with a more active family that are used to hounds since we are not. He knows sit and no and responds well to his name. He loves to cuddle, which is what we will miss most about him. We want Carl to live his best life and not stifled by our inactivity.
