We adopted Miss Holly about 5-6 years ago. Our house was full at the time and she got a lot of attention. My husband and I are moving and we cannot take Holly to our retirement home. However, she is the perfect pet for an older adult who will give her attention. She is a superb companion.
Holly does not like to be left alone. She cries when left alone and she does not like to sit in a room by herself. She is a lovely lap dog. She has never ever acted aggressive - not once.
She will usually bark when someone comes to the door, but not always.
We have a cat - Holly gets on well with the cat.
Her nighttime eyesight is not good. We place a night light near her sleeping space.
She is VERY good at letting you know when she needs to go outside.
Holly is a great dog but she is on the needy side. She needs her humans!
She would be a good fit for someone who is home most of the time- not a good fit for someone who leaves their house often, unless you take her with. she loves trips!
