My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Opie is a 1 year old lab/pointer/hound/mega mutt mix. She came to us from a local shelter where she was absolutely petrified and refused to even walk. She has made great strides in foster care but will need a home who understands her and will continue working on her socialization. Opie knows sit, waits patiently for treats, and is working on her leash skills. She absolutely loves her foster family and wants nothing more than to lay in bed or on the couch to cuddle them, but she is nervous around strangers. Though she does adjust quickly with the help of her dog friends and treats, she occasionally barks at strangers.. Continued socialization should help fix this!

Opie absolutely loves other dogs and we do require her forever home to have at least one other dog as they are the greatest assets in helping her come out of her shell. She is playful and loves to run and will cuddle with the other dogs when tired. No cats please!

Opie is good in her crate but is still working on her house breaking. She sometimes plays too hard outside and forgets to potty until she comes back in.
