My story

Meet Leo!

This sweet senior boy found himself homeless and is as sweet as they come!  That grey muzzle could tell stories but he'd much rather lay on your lap and hear yours!

He was picked up as a stray in a vacant lot and looks like he's been there a very long time since he had regular meals.  He's so skinny and could really use some TLC and a soft comfy bed for his boney body!

Leo is about 7-9 years old and weighs about 60lbs although he definitely needs to put on some pounds!  He is super sweet, and a reserved boy but LOVES treats!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

SHR will require an application and home visit for the adoption of any of our animals. The customary adoption fee is $150 for dogs $85 for cats.

Go meet their pets

Scout's Honor Rescue does not currently have its own facility to keep the animals in its adoption program. All animals in our program are fostered by individuals who keep the dog or cat at their residence until it is adopted. Consider opening your home to a dog or cat in need. You become the caregiver to a precious animal – their future is in your hands! It is incredibly rewarding to know that you have given that animal the two most precious gifts- Life and Love. For many of them, this is the first kind hand they have known.
