My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Harriet is a shy one with all the other cats around but on occasion, when they are not looking, she makes her move to get that loving stuff with a human. Although, she does get along with everyone. She's just more reserved and won't get into the middle of chaos in the "Cat House." While that is good, she might not like being at an event around too much chaos. So, the just of it is that we don't take her but make her available anyway. If we have an approved adopter, we can make it work.

Go meet their pets

During the pandemic, online is how we must present our pets. You can request more photos and a meet and greet if we have a volunteer to transport. Normally we would be having our adoption events at PetCo or PetSmart.

More about this rescue

Piedmont Pound Paws (PPP) began as a group of volunteers working together to find loving/responsible adopters or licensed rescues for animals that were unfortunate enough to find themselves in the city of Piedmont, MO kill pound. Over time, homeless pets in extended areas, often including the MO counties of Wayne, Reynolds, Iron, Butler, Carter, & Bollinger, were also helped. Today, this continues while educating the community and helping to find resources for low income families to responsibly care for their pets.
