My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please note, we are a Texas based rescue that transports our pups once
they are adopted. All of our dogs reside in foster homes in TX, so much is known
about their temperament, training level and personality. Thank you for wanting to adopt!

Hi! My name is David Pupperfield! I was named after a famous magician. Dont worry, if you adopt me, I wont disappear! I am a super sweet fellow once I get to know you. I was saved by my rescue from a hoarding case in south texas. There were over 70 of us dogs in a teeny little house with 2 humans. When foster mom got me, I had never even seen grass before! Even though I was not exposed to much in my early days, I am very human centric. I am very shy when meeting new people. but I will be snuggling in their lap before you know it! I am especially drawn to men. Their laps are bigger, more room for snuggling!

I am a pretty red and white chihuahua mix. I am learning cool skills like how to walk on a leash, sleep in a crate and get on and off the furniture. Since everything is so new to me, I will need a patient hooman to call my own. I promise I am worth it!

I did have substantial hair-loss all over my body when I first arrived to the rescue. With some TLC, my fur is growing is beautifully. Foster mom says I am one handsome boy.

I love belly scratches and am a professional snuggler. I love other dogs, especially my BFF Frito Bandito. I would love if we could be adopted together! I know taking on two dogs can be very daunting, so if you only have space in your heart, and your lap, for one dog, we can definitely be separated. I do ok with kids as long as they are dog savvy. The little kids can sometimes be a little bit too enthusiastic in their snuggle efforts, so I would do best in a home with kids over the age of 7.

I am so deserving of a furever after. Please apply to adopt me today!
