My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are looking for a pair of sweet kittens, Fig & Papaya might be the right fit for you. They are about 9 months old and when they first came to us they had upper respiratory and eye infections. It took quite a while to get these two feeling better, but now that they are healthy they're ready to find their forever home.

Both Fig and Papaya are fairly timid with new people and in new places, but once they're used to you they are very sweet and loving. Fig seems to be the more curious of the pair, but once Papaya is comfortable she likes to explore too. Papaya is also the more active cuddler. She will sit on her foster mom's lap or chest and demand attention. Fig is content to just chill right next to you and get pets. Both cats are vocal and their confidence seems to grow by the day.

Papaya has a strange habit of playing with tape, and loves to shred anything made of paper into confetti. They both love to play, and they play with each other a lot. They enjoy toys on a stick or string and batting around their toy springs. Both cats have medium length hair so would love a family that is willing to brush them as needed.

Fig & Papaya are comfortable around other cats but they really don't seem to like dogs. They have no experience with children but would likely be OK with older kids/teens that are quiet and respectful. They are used to living indoors.

When Fig first arrived we noticed that she had squinty eyes. In addition to having an eye infection at the time, the vet discovered that Fig seems to be quite sensitive to light. She seeks out darker places and doesn't like to hang out in our very bright places or sunbeams. She will be more comfortable in a home that is a bit on the darker side, rather than a big, bright, open space.

If you think that your home might be the best fit for Fig & Papaya, please contact us at victoriapets@gmail.com.
