My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Laverne is a feral cat who has been a warehouse cat all her life. This past summer the business that had owned her for all of her 11 years moved out, leaving Laverne behind to starve to death alone in the locked warehouse. Amazingly, she survived for more than six weeks thanks to a leaky pipe and passing bugs and rodents. When the landlord went to open the warehouse for a new tenant, out came an emaciated Laverne. Since then she’s been hanging with us, getting back her healthy weight and pretty coat. We had her checked by a vet and as far as we know she’s healthy. Her bloodwork was good, her teeth are good, she’s FIV/FeLV negative, spayed, and fully vaccinated. All Laverne needs now is a home and/or job someplace where she’ll be looked after, never neglected or abandoned, and allowed to be her feral self. She has shown no sign of aggression, she’s just feral in the sense of not letting humans get too close. She seems to be OK with other cats. We will consider another warehouse or shop cat situation for her as long as she is cared for.
