My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Amber is a senior girl, said to be around 8 years old, however we do believe she is a bit older. We probably will actually never know for sure. She is a red and white Australian Shepherd who is very sweet and laid back.

Amber found herself in a GA shelter (at no fault of her own) where she was given a time limit on her life. ASF was not going to let that happen and a group of wonderful volunteers worked together and her freedom ride took place!

Before coming to ASF, Amber had a skin/flea allergy which caused hair loss on her back and on her rear legs. With proper vetting, she is now on the mend and her hair is coming back in nicely. Amber loves meeting new people and loves attention. She gets along great with other dogs with the exception of feeding time and on occasion with toys. She would do great in a home where she could be fed separately. She would love to have a playmate to run around the yard with but she would also be totally happy as an only dog as long as her person spends lots of quality time with her. She walks well on her leash and enjoys taking in all the sights. She is ok with cats. She is housebroken and crate trained. She actually likes her crate and will go in on her own when she wants to relax.

Amber is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. She is also microchipped. Amber can't wait to find the perfect home that is suited just for her. She will make an amazing best friend! She is being fostered in Dunlap, TN
