My story

My name is: Sparkle Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier Gender: Female - spayed Color: White with brown near her eye Size: 63 lbs Approximate age: 1 year Energy Level: average Foster family says: Sparkle is a very patient girl who has waited for her forever family for a long time. She has so many stereotypes going against her that we can only think that's why she hasn't been adopted. Sparkle is excellent with other dogs, cats & children big & small. She is crate trained, house trained, knows hand signals & is excellent on a leash. She is deaf & blind in one eye, she was born that way & has no 'startle' reflex, if you tap her while she is asleep she doesn't even flinch. Sparkle is ready for you, her adoption fee is wavied to an approved home. Please fill out an application at www.iRescueHomelessPets.org under the adopt tab to add Sparkle to your family forever. We HIGHLY recommend you take your dog/puppy to formal obedience classes with a qualified trainer. This will help you and your dog/puppy learn and bond with each other. While we do the best to determine the breed of our dogs, the majority are turned in as strays & we have only general appearance, coat type, size, ear type, tail & coat color to base breed on. It is always possible when adopting a puppy that it can dramatically change and look like another breed as it grows up. Our fees are typically $75.00 for adult dogs & $150.00 for fully vetted puppies. Fill out an application at https://form.jotform.com/40468849602159 to add this pet to your family forever.

Why adoption is a great option

Sparkle, a Weatherford Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Weatherford, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Weatherford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Weatherford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Weatherford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Weatherford paves the way for another one to be saved.
