Meet Hoku! Our newest orphan comes from the Southern Central Valley, approximately 3.5 hours south of us.

He was found stray on the street. His microchip steered Animal Control back to his original owner, who stated he had given him away. Sadly, that person didn’t want him either. Well, we wanted him. And after being with us only a short time, we can’t imagine how anyone could abandon this incredibly wonderful boy!

Hoku is Hawaiian for Star. And he is truly a bright shining star! He loves to be on the receiving end of affection and touch, but also is eager to shower you with love in return. He is a hugger, a leaner and a snuggler. And an all around goofy love bug!

Hoku is approximately 3 ½ years old. He’s in the prime of his life and deserves to enjoy all the finer things in life. He is in a foster home with a social, well-balanced female Akita and could be appropriate with a similar tempered female dog in his future home.
