My story

Waffles is a happy little girl who deserves only the best! She's 2-3 years old and weighs 11 pounds. She's sweet and funny and likes children and other dogs. She trusts women, but has likely had a bad experience with a man in the past, and is afraid of them in the beginning. She's housebroken, leash-trained, and rarely barks.
Waffles stays quietly in a bag while errands are done and wants to curl up on her person's feet when she isn't in a lap. She bonds tightly to her one special person. She is fiercely loyal and loves deeply.
Her ideal home would be with a woman who has another easy-going dog, someone who would take her everywhere and be her best friend for the rest of what should be a life filled with love and joy.
Waffles can be adopted in Southern California. To apply, go to the rescue website at scratchmybelly.org and click Forms then Adopt. The adoption process includes a phone interview, reference checks, a meet and greet with all family members including dogs, and a home check.
