Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Austin is a 7-year old Westie who we got as a puppy from a breeder. When we brought him into our home we already had a 2 year old westie. Unfortunately, they have never really bonded and like to compete for our attention, which has caused possessiveness over their crates/toys/ect. They tolerate each other, but never bonded in the way we had in mind. We think Austin and our other dog would both be happier dogs if they were living in separate homes. Now that we are home all day from Quarantine it seems to have compounded their issues and they have started marking over one another. Austin gets along great with my sisters dog and they love to run and play, she is a female, his issues seem to be with Dallas, another male. We have four children and Austin is great with them.
This is not where we envisioned things would end up, but the best thing we can do for him at this point is to acknowledge that he would be able to thrive more in a home by himself with a family that can care for him.
