My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

After 5 weeks in a foster home, Lucy is doing great.  She has gained weight and regrown her hair and looks really good for a 14 year old.  She had her mammary tumors removed and no longer drags the ground.  She had her abscessed teeth removed and the rest polished up.  Princess Lucy is the happiest basset and is really easy going.  She loves everyone (human and canine) and loves to snuggle and be petted.  She will snuggle close and then flip to her back so she can get a good belly rub.  On occasion she will show the puppy sprints and also will occasionally dump over a trash can  or counter surf.  She learned the dog door and sleeps all night on a dog bed or the couch.  There are lingering ear issues still being addressed and she will always need a heart guard to keep the heart worms under control.  We would love for this sweet girl to find a soft place to land to live out her days being loved like she deserves!
UPDAtE 5/25/22- Through no fault of her own, Princess Lucy is back with us and in not very good shape.  This sweet girl deserves to be spoiled for as long as she has!
