My story

Hey friends! My name is Cheddar (orange tabby fuzzball) and my brother is Raven (silky black beauty). We are two-year-old bonded brothers. We are still kittens at heart-energetic and inquisitive, playful, and adorable.

We love to run and wrestle. We love all kinds of toys, balls with bells in them, dangle toys and feather wands, and we LOVE the crinkle tunnel! Wherever I go, Raven will be with me. We even sleep together each night.

I am a purr machine and I will purr even when I am eating. Raven is a big flirt and such a loverboy. We are loving and enjoy lounging in the recliner with our foster mom. We both have quiet mews except if one of us gets shut in a room without the other, we will howl! And we are dog friendly!

When we were first rescued, I was having eye issues. It was a long journey to get my eyes healthy again but thankfully my foster mom made it her mission to make sure I would have a fulfilling life. I only require eye drops (only $17, lasts 4 months) every evening and I won’t make a fuss about it. We promise to love you forever if you could find it in your heart to adopt us together.

If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting us, we're at Petsmart at 115th and Metcalf most Saturday afternoons from 12-3 (please confirm with our foster mom at cell 913-634-6345), or contact our foster mom Carol at either 913.469.9881 or cjdavis@everestkc.net to meet other times. We can’t wait to meet you!

Why adoption is a great option

Cheddar & Raven, a Overland Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
