Meet Charly the Champion!
Hey everybody, I’m Charly! I’m a 6 month old male terrier/chihuahua mix. I’m only 14 pounds, but don’t let that fool you! I just might be the strongest dog you’ll ever meet. When I was first rescued in Tijuana I was very sick… so sick I might have died if my rescue had come a few days later. I was very weak and had such a low platelet count that I needed an emergency blood transfusion. But like I said, I’m strong! I’m a fighter; I worked hard and got better. I survived distemper when I was younger, so I knew I could survive this too! Distemper left me with a tremor that I still have. It’s most noticeable when I’m laying down and resting. But don’t worry! My first foster nursed me to health for about a month before I came to live with my current foster mom, and she says I’ve been a perfect boy! I haven’t started any leash training, but I’m crate trained and already mostly potty trained.
I’m a pretty small pup and I can sometimes be timid when I meet new people, but once you pick me up and hold me I’m all yours! I love to snuggle with my foster mom. I follow her all over the house too. But I don’t have any separation anxiety! I’m such a sweet, gentle boy.
My foster mom says I’m very adaptable, but I’d probably do best in a home with other doggos; I’m super dog friendly! I love to explore and play with my furry friends. I’m not sure about cats though. But I can also go to a home with kids; I’m great with them! I’m pretty low energy overall, but I’m still a puppy. Sometimes I get bursts of silly puppy energy! But I’m eager to please so I can easily be redirected to do what you want. If you want to adopt me, my fee is $450 That’s a small price to pay for a dog as great as me, and it includes the price to get me neutered when I’m ready! I’m already fully vaccinated too!
