Savanna, at approximately 1 1/2 years, has had a rough start on life. She found herself at a shelter in Northeastern Arizona after her owner was no longer able to care for her. From what we know, she was bounced around a lot to unfavorable homes before ending up at the shelter. That perhaps, was the best thing that happened to her as the shelter contacted us to help. Savanna is now living in a foster home with other dogs and learning how great life can be.
Savanna is young and energetic. She is shy at first but warms up quickly to people and other dogs. She LOVES other dogs. Savanna will require someone willing to invest in her training and provide ample exercise. Again, she is young and has much to learn. Savanna is house trained but will need basic training to enhance her sit, stay, heel, come and down commands. She is a counter surfer so a "dog-proof" house is a must. Applicants must also have secure fencing.
Our adoption process includes completion of an application, an interview, a home visit and a meet & greet with all family members, two and four legged. All adoptions include a two week trial prior to completing the adoption. To request an application, please email us at britrescueaz@cox.net.
Savanna is scheduled to be spay on 11/24/20 and will be ready to go "home" on approximately 12/1/20. She has been vet-checked and her vaccines have been updated. Savanna tested negative for heartworm and 4 types of tick borne diseases. She has no known health issues.
Savanna's adoption donation is $400. We will refund $50 if the adopter enrolls in and provides proof of completing a training course within 6 months of adoption.
