My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dobby, searching for a new master (wizard or muggle)!

I’ve never had a chance to try on the sorting hat, but I think it would put me in YOUR house! I’m Dobby, named after a loyal house elf from Harry Potter. I am not actually an elf, but a 7-month-old, male, Dachshund mix. Similar to elves, I am small in stature weighing in at about 15 pounds. I was found outside wandering around a vet’s office in Mexico and the amazing muggles at The Cantu Foundation rescued me. I was in rough shape and only weighed 9 pounds. I had some mange when they found me and my hair is still growing back but I am feeling much better! I am almost completely house trained and walk really well on a leash. I hang right next to my muggle foster mom all the time, even on our walks! I also like lounging in my crate when we are home.

I have a very calming presence when you meet me. I love to be cuddled and loved on, and will sit in your lap for hours and have no problem with it, but I do have a fun, spunky side as well! I love to play with other dogs and will run laps around the house when I get the zoomies. My foster mom says it is adorable! I also have no problem being alone with no barking or signs of anxiety. I love all dogs and human kids that I’ve met but haven’t met a cat yet!

I would thrive in a lot of different types of household environments! I love children, dogs, and humans, so essentially can accommodate many different lifestyles. I also can be left alone without worry of coming home to a chewed up home, I usually just lay on the couch and catch up on some sleep! My adoption fee is $450 and that includes spaying/neutering and vetting care.
