My story

My story:
This handsome boy has a sad, but unfortunately, common story. ARC first took him in back in 2011. We quickly found him a home a month later. Then sadly, eight years later, his adopter returned him to ARC because she was moving. At ARC, we take our animals back for life, immediately and always. Unfortunately, Cold has still not gotten used to life at the shelter again.

Colt usually requires some time to get to know new people and will require multiple visits with any potential adopter. We’d really like to find him a new home. Please consider meeting this handsome fellow today.

I'm not good with:

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
