My story

This little cafe au lait colored girl is showing her energy and her personality is slowly appearing now that she's in a home and retired from breeding. She wags her tail and is happy - we call her our little circus dog. She would do best with another dog in the home to help her learn how to be "normal". She and Mayzi would be a good combo to adopt together. Coco is still having accidents in her crate, so she will continue to need help with the housetraining. She does not walk on a leash so needs a fenced yard or exercise pen where she can continue to be offered trips outside with lots of praise when she does her business there. Are you the right home to help Coco continue to learn about life in a family? Please apply at www.bongosbuddiesrescue.com to get more information on Coco.

Additional adoption info

Upon receiving a completed application, we will contact your two personal references plus your veterinarian, and then schedule a home safety visit with you. We do have all adopters sign an adoption contract and ask for an adoption donation (dependent on the age of the dog) to help defray the costs of vetting the dogs in our care. We prefer to not place our dogs in homes where there are children under the age of 10. You must be able to pick up your dog - we do not use commercial transportation methods.

More about this rescue

We have seen the need to provide more foster home environments for dogs needing a second chance, so our rescue was just founded at the beginning of 2016. We welcome donations to help with the care of our foster dogs, and we also welcome local people interested in fostering or helping us in any way to fill out the volunteer application.
