My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Howlo there,

I'm Nelson. If you know anything about my breed, you know that my smeller is always set on overtime!

I was found running in the highway by a kind disabled woman. She asked her neighbors about me and found my owner. Great right?? Wrong...2 days later there I was again in highway dodging vehicles. We aren't too well known for our common sense. Our smellers just seem to get the best of us! Anyway, the same kind lady repeated the process of returning me a couple of times. On the last return home, my owner said she didn't want me anymore....what?? Why Mom???

The kind disabled lady was now in a pinch. She just simply could not handle a large, friendly, nosy boy like me. She also could not afford to care for me, nor did she have room for me to stay either. I need at least a six foot fence to keep me in.

I'm not a bad dog at all. I just need a family who is used to having a hound dog around. You see, we a really are a handful to keep focused once our noses get the best of us. And, we like to share our howling, I mean singing love ballads to you.

I'm definitely a character too. I mean, you know I like to have fun. I like to run and play and chase the occasional raccoon. That is my specialty you know. I'm very trainable. I know there are many of my ancestors out there who have won many a coon huntin' trophy or two.

Kids?? You have kids?? I would be the BEST thing for them! I can keep them out of trouble and occupied with training me, and in turn they are keeping me occupied as well! It's a win-win people...come on!

I'm sweet and handsome and kinda cuddly, but not for too long. A guys gotta keep his image you know if he's gonna be a trophy winner.

So what do you say? It's time to come see me and take me home. Covid has kept your family inside too long. Let's go!! HOWWWWLLLLLL!!!!
