My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jack and Jill are a BONDED PAIR, meaning we are only adopting them out together. They came to us together and appear to be life-mates. They were found together after their previous owner dumped them in a park. Passersby were feeding them hotdogs and they survived on that and garbage for about a month before someone notified us about them. We agreed to rescue them, and when they were caught, it turned out that Jill was pregnant! Shortly after rescuing the pair, Jill delivered 3 healthy puppies that look just like her, so we aren't sure if Jack was the father or not. Since we could not adopt Jill out until after the pups were weaned, we got more time to see Jack and Jill together and realized they are indeed inseparable and love each other very much.

Jack is the white one, and we really have NO idea what breed mix he is, so we took a guess. But we make no guarantees and could be very wrong! What we do know is, he is believed to be under 2 years old, and weighs about 15 lbs. and is full grown. Jack is described by his foster mom ans very sweet and cuddly, but a bit skittish. She is working on teaching him some commands (he knows none), but it scares him. Jack is mostly housebroken, but will have accidents in the house. He is a runner and will need a secure fenced yard. Also, due to his size, he is at risk from birds of prey so he can NEVER be left alone outside unattended. Jack walks okay on a leash, but not great and will need work on this. Jack is very quiet and currently does not bark, not even when someone comes to the door.

Jack is fully vetted, heartworm negative, on heartworm and flea prevention, is neutered, and microchipped, and has received a clean bill of health.

Jill's foster mom says Jill is also very sweet, though not as cuddly as Jack. She is fully housebroken and does not have accidents in the house. Jill is also a runner and will need to be secured outside with a leash or securely fenced yard.
She also cannot be left alone outside as she also weighs under 20 lbs and is full grown. She is estimated to be about the same age as Jack, under 2 years old. Jill does not like being on a leash and needs to be walked with a harness. Jill is also quiet, but will bark at the foxes in the farm behind the foster's house. She does not bark at the door. Jill also lacks basic commands.

Jill's puppies are grown and were adopted, and she has been spayed, heartworm tested negative, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention, and fully vetted and microchipped. She also received a clean bill of health.

Both Jack and Jill like to sleep under the covers. A blanket over them is fine. They are not chewers of furniture, etc., but will dig in the yard if you have moles.
Foster mom says, "OMG, will they dig for moles." This is definitely a terrier trait and cannot really be trained out of them. However, leaving them alone outside puts them at risk for being snatched by birds of prey, so that will be minimized if they are attended to at all times when outdoors. Though bonded, when they are asleep, they don’t like the other in their space and will growl. They have not had any fights though. They are a very sweet pair, but will need lots of love and some training and socialization.
