My story

Please tell us about your family and home environment.  Please tell us about yourself and what kind of home you are offering to give Waffles. Please include as much information as possible.

Available For Adoption in Edmonton ONLY!  Special needs 3-year-old spayed female Terrier, Chihuahua Mix small breed.

Requires acupuncture treatments every 4 months weeks for managing muscle tone and pain relief.

Her ideal forever family will be healthy stable homeowners with minimal stairs and a fenced yard.

You must be able to financially commit to continue with her treatment plan and medications.

Waffles love to cuddle and will be an amazing companion for the right adopter. She is crate and house trained.   Her vaccinations are up to date and she is micro-chipped. She loves to perform tricks for treats.

Ideally no children under 10 and no other dogs or cats living in the home.

She sheds and needs grooming a couple of times a year.

She will bark at strangers and to unfamiliar sounds.

Waffle loves a good lap and blanket to snuggle under.

All dogs adopted through this rescue must complete a 6 week Force Free Dog Obedience Training class at For The Love of Paws.  This cost is NOT included in the adoption fees. Please contact For the Love of Paws Pet Services Dog Training for their training fee.

ADOPTION FEE: $650.00 helps cover veterinary/dental expenses, micro-chip, and treatment/therapy costs if needed, fostering, and transport costs while in the care of the Rescue.  Serious inquiries only!

More about this rescue

We are a 100% not-for-profit society and are volunteer-run and are located in the Edmonton capital region. We are a foster home placement-based rescue. There is NO SHELTER with our rescue. Our rescue works closely with several local rescue groups in Alberta. We have worked with rescue shelters in the United States, and we will transport small breed dogs that are about to be euthanized, then place the dogs in foster homes until a forever family is found. We will provide care for toy-sized and small-breed dogs whose owners are no longer able to care for them. They are placed in stable foster homes until a forever home is found.
