Syrah is a clever, calm, and independent boy with many layers (like his namesake) — his blue eyes always look like he’s thinking about something! He is easygoing in new environments but also content to settle down in your arms, and loves to sleep after a good run. He is careful about keeping himself clean and is a pro at making himself comfortable when sleeping — he always curls up in a dog bed or finds a blanket or toy to use as a pillow. He loves to explore new places and sniff everything, and will definitely chase you around the yard for a little before going off to do his own thing. He communicates well — he will typically let you know with a whine when he needs to go potty — and seems to understand and cooperate with us when we ask him to potty on a pad or to “sit” (he’s learned “sit”, especially if you are holding a treat); he would do really well with structure and more training!
