My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Archie is an adorable snaggle toothed boy! This scruffy man is sweet, smart, and a joy to spend time with. He has had some training in his life as he already knows sit, down, and to come when you call him. Archie is just an overall good boy and he really likes making people around him happy.

Unfortunately our veterinarian did diagnose Archie with a 4-5 out of 6 grade heart murmur. At this time he is not on any medications and you would never know there was anything going on with him. However his future family will need to keep in mind that he should have a full cardiac work up, may end up on various medications, and may not be able to be an athlete. Don't worry though this special guy may have a special heart but no silly murmur can stop him from loving his new family and enjoying life!

Archie would do best in either an adult only home or a home with children who are older and have been around dogs before. Archie is a good boy but he really doesn't like being restrained and to him a simple hug may be very scary. His new family just has to understand him and show him love in other less physical ways. He can also be a vocal dude and would not be a good fit for apartment living.

Archie is just over 6 1/2 years old as of 11/25/20 and can't wait until he gets to start his next adventure with his forever family.

If you would like to meet this special dog, please email dogs@lunashouse.org to set up an appointment. Please be patient to hear from us as we are all volunteers and may not be able to respond immediately.

Our volunteers make sure just the right home is chosen for me so they require a home visit to make sure there are no safety issues that could hurt me. You must live within a 50 mile radius of our location in order to be considered.

The adoption fee is $250 and includes vaccines, flea prevention treatment, neuter/spay, and micro chipping. Like us on Facebook!!

Visual breed identification in dogs in unreliable, for most of our dogs we are making the best guess at what the predominant breed or breed mix might be. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each dog based on personality and temperament, not breed label.
