My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maggie is being fostered in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. If interested in adopting her, please complete an online application at:
https://schnauzerloverescue.net/2015/index.php/applications/adoption-application.
Be sure to add Maggie’s name as the dog you are interested in adopting at the end of the application.

Maggie May is an 8 year old Mini Schnauzer mix. She looks mostly schnauzer to us with both natural ears and tail and as a real plus she doesn’t shed. This pretty female is a salt and pepper with beautiful eyes, as you can see in her pictures. She is what is called a phantom schnauzer because she has the dark mask around her eye. She weighs 22 lbs. Maggie is spayed, up to date with her shots, and doesn’t seem to have any current health issues. Maggie had a dental recently and lost only three teeth. The doggie tooth fairy was happy it was not more. Maggie enjoys having vegetable and fruit treats. She’s trying to keep her girlie figure.

Maggie is a three-time winner because she is house trained, crate trained, and good on a leash. She allows her foster to bathe her, groom her, and trim her nails - talk about cooperative! Maggie May is a gentle dog according to her foster mom. Maggie comes when called and is not really much of a barker unless it’s something she is unsure of. She enjoys car rides and likes to carry her toys around in her mouth which is so cute.

Maggie May needs a home without young children. She loves having her retired foster mom all to herself. Maggie was an owner surrender and came from a home with young children and another Miniature Schnauzer. Then they brought into the mix a very young large breed dog and it was too much for Maggie. Maggie doesn’t appreciate cats either.

Maggie May is a real sweetheart. She loves to be fussed over and is a lap dog to boot. If Maggie May sounds like a dog you would like to have as your furever companion, please complete an adoption application and enter Maggie May as your preference. November is Maggie May's birthday month, and her only birthday wish is a new home with a loving owner. Will you make her wish come true?
