Kelly was an outdoor stray being fed by a kind gentleman who recently passed away. He asked one of our volunteers that she be taken care of and so we have taken her in! A medical exam revealed that all of her teeth needed to be removed for her health, and she is now getting used to eating in a new way. She is eating both dry and wet foods and should have a pretty normal food life going forward. She is sweet and a little shy. We'd like her to go to a quiet home with a patient person who is prepared to let her adjust to her new home at her own pace. Approved adopters can visit this beauty at the shelter.

Kelly, a North Branford Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in North Branford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in North Branford.
Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Branford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Branford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Branford paves the way for another one to be saved.
