My story

DeLaney is a sweet young lady. She is part of an ongoing rescue of an outdoor cat family. Although we do practice TNR (trap neuter release) we are hoping that many of these cats can make the transition to pet-hood. DeLaney is an excellent example. She is getting more and more comfortable with people and now rewards head rubs with a deep purr! DeLaney has adorable double front paws! Delaney is an exuberant and affectionate cat. Approved adopters can visit her and see the sparkle at the shelter.

DeLaney will need at lease a month to adapt to a new home and we are a looking for an adopter ready to make a commitment to patience and loving care.

DeLaney loves all of her striped cousins, with whom she shares a room, and would do very well being adopted with any of them.

More about this rescue

Branford Compassion Club (BCC) is a non-profit feline rescue organization that serves not only Branford, CT, but surrounding shoreline towns. The mission of the club is to provide for the feeding, shelter and care of homeless, abandoned and feral cats; to educate the public about the importance of spay/neuter population control, responsible pet ownership and kindness to animals; and to establish an ongoing community network to achieve these goals.

Branford Compassion Club was founded in November 1997, by a handful of compassionate Branford residents concerned with the growing population of feral cats. The residents united to form BCC to alleviate the hunger and suffering of feral cats in this community.
