Meet Baxter, a beautiful chocolate 1 year old Retriever mix! Baxter has a clean bill of health, is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He was rescued from Easter Europe where he spent almost a year in a large crate with another dog. He wasn't abused (there's zero aggression in him), but he was definitely deprived of love and attention since there were more than 1000 dogs in the shelter. He's incredibly smart, playful and great with other dogs and kids (he was fostered by a family with a dog and they got along beautifully). Baxter would be a perfect fit for a big family with active lifestyle - the dog is naturally energetic and loves long walks. His adopter has to be patient, since Baxter will be shy at first and it would take him about 2 weeks to come out of his shell. He's not crate trained and might have some anxiety issues when separated from his carer, that's why having another dog to play with (or nap near to) is ideal in your absence.
