Because of the inhumane practice of breeding and/or training Pit Bulls for the express purpose of fighting, some areas have implemented Breed Specific Legislation (herein known as BSL) that forbids the adoption of the Pit Bull Breed as well as mixes. I have strong feelings against such legislation because it condemns to death many an innocent Pit Bull. Here is a prime example: It was there in her eyes. The pleading for salvation from her scheduled euthanasia on 09-21-04. I couldn't get her off my mind; there was something very special about this Pit Bull Terrier Mix. I worked endlessly until I secured a place for her at a private, family-owned and operated boarding facility. It was surely Divine Intervention. Neatchi is one of the major loves of my life. Approximately 15 months old, She is very obedient. She sits, lays, shakes on command and walks well on a leash and rides very well in a car. She LOVES to play with balls and has a great affection for children especially my 4-year-old daughter. Oh, did I mention that she thinks she's a lapdog? She will very politely plop her plump bottom in your lap. Neatchi is just as deserving of a terrific home as any other breed of dog. If her pictures don't melt your heart, meeting her affectionate self in person will. Because of the area she came from, Neatchi will NOT be adopted ANYWHERE that has BSL or regulations in regards to owning a Pit Bull Terrier or Pit Bull Terrier mix. If you're looking for a super-fabulous, super-loving dog who could go jogging with you (she LOVES to run) or play ball out in the backyard, Neatchi's your girl. She's a most awesome bed buddy, too! Neatchi came to live with me finally in my home on December 23rd. Just in time for Christmas and Santa Paws treated her VERY well on Christmas morning. I only wish I had the room previously to have her here. She is pretty darn close to perfect. Neatchi gets along with all 4 of my dogs (3 females and 1 male) as well as one of my female fosters Cookie, another pit bull terrier/lab mix. Neatchi and cookie have become WONDERFUL best friends and enjoy many hours of playtime. I also have 3 of my own adult cats as well as a 13 week old foster kitten and Neatchi could care less about any of them only giving a friendly sniff on occasion. She is also very good with the 3 puppies in our home. Neatchi is housebroken, spayed as well as had her rear dewclaws removed. She has been wormed, and is totally up to date on ALL of her vaccinations INCLUDING her rabies and is heart worm negative. Neatchi is microchipped and her paperwork will be registered for you. MUST READ AND AGREE: Neatchi MUST be an indoor pet only! That is, she CANNOT be left outdoors overnight or while the family is gone from the home/property. She MUST be a FAMILY MEMBER, which means she will spend 90% of her life INDOORS WITH FAMILY. Over the years, we have found that dogs that live as a family member and, are treated as such, live longer, healthier lives and have fewer, if any, behavior problems. Adoption Fee: $150.00 all vetting included and already completed. (spay, rear dewclaw removal and up to date shots, HW test) and Microchip. We will register Neatchi's Microchip for you.
