Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fluffy was owner surrendered to the shelter because her family had "too many animals." She had a bulging eye which had to be removed. She also received a dental and vaccinations at the shelter. We received a call saying that although Fluffy was healing ok, she was nervous and very unhappy in the shelter environment so we happily took her into rescue.
When her foster mom picked her up, she was a quiet and calm co-pilot! She is a very sweet little 13 pound Shih Tzu estimated at 9 years old that only wants to be warm and loved. She is mostly or completely blind, but navigates her new home and yard pretty well, especially with a little help from her 6 dog and cat friends! She loves to sit by your side when someone reads or watches TV, and sleeps soundly through the night at the foot of the bed next to the family's "cat-dog." She is house trained. She does cute little circles both before doing her business, and when you tell her a treat is coming! Her bloodwork came back normal, and our vet believes the "circling" might be partially due to her blindness, in an attempt to get her bearings.
Fluffy would love a home where her humans are around at least part of the day, and definitely would love other animal friends! She would also be fine as your only buddy, however. You will be lucky, should you get a chance to meet Fluffy!
