My story

THIS IS A COURTESY POST. Purrfect Friends Cat Rescue and its volunteers have not evaluated this animal in any way and can not be held liable for the current condition or future care of the animal. Please work with the specific contact in the posting to confirm if the animal is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested, etc. and for a complete description of the animal's personality and behavior traits.

Loaner Cat, a total sweetie tuxedo boy, was taken in from the mean  streets of Mt. Healthy (joking about the mean streets) as an older  kitten winter 2019. He & Original Cat did not get along, and had to be  separated by a door between the first & second floors. Original Cat is a  very shy & anxious cat; every time the humans tried to get the two cats  together, they fought. Then the mama human had a premature baby & her  heart failed, luckily while she was on the preemie ward with her baby,  so her life was saved, but life at home was not easy. I took in Loaner  Cat just to ease the humans' burdens, to foster him to adoption. He has  a bit of puppy about him: loves to chase bouncy balls, rolls over for  belly rubs, & always interested in what I'm eating. He's big, almost 18  pounds, but none of it fat. He's learned to trust me & now loves lap  time or stretching out on my legs, and sleeps in the bed, too. He's very  relaxed during front claw clipping. He has a scratching post, carry  case, toys, brush, harness, litter, tall litter box and big  litter-catch mat. I can keep him for now and wish I could keep him  furever, but I'm starting van life in spring 2021, and he's too social
and athletic to be happy in van life, and I also will be leaving the van  for long periods during the day and am very afraid of the van getting  too hot or cold for him.  I think he'd love to live with more than one  human, too. I have very high standards for his new humans!

More about this rescue

Purrfect Friends Cat Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit group working to end the plight and suffering of unwanted cats and kittens in the greater Cincinnati area. We do this by educating the general public about the importance of spaying or neutering their pets to lessen the drastic over-population of cats; we provide foster homes to cats and kittens waiting for adoption, and provide information and guidance to people working to help the feral cat population through TNR (trap, neuter and release) efforts. Meet the cats every Saturday at our adoption events (details listed below), and you can see the cats on Petfinders and 1800save-a-pet in the hopes of finding good homes for them. Visit our homepage at www.purrfectfriendscatrescue.org
