My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hamlet is beautiful--a snowy white and pearl gray baby Dwarf Hamster who is growing so fast we had to get him a slightly larger exercise wheel. He is a Campbells Desert Russian Dwarf Hamster. These are very feisty.

His markings are amazing--pearl gray belly ending in little flurries into his white sides and back. He has a tiny faint gray stripe on his back and a little bit on the front of his face. He is very handsome. His former name was "Carrot" but Hamlet sounded so cute--Hamlet the Hamster.

He cannot go to a home with small or young children or other animals larger than himself.
Hamsters cannot ever be allowed to jump off someone's lap, or a bed or couch or chair, as this can break their delicate back and legs.

Also, usually males cannot co-habit with other males since they will fight and could even kill each other. Also no females, which would create more litters, making our job so much more difficult rescuing and finding safe and loving homes for these little tykes.

No dogs, no cats, since he would be considered prey by them--a tasty morsel.

Experience with tiny mammals is required.
