My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Miss Molly. I am a beautiful sassy girl who is particular about other felines...some I like & some no so much.
I'm very social & love all humans. I really like to chase a laser or feather toy and play hide & seek with my foster mom. around my foster home. I'm absolutely gorgeous, very soft & have the cutest expressions you'll ever see. I haven't been around dogs but I think they'd have to be very calm & leave me alone if I were to have one in my new home. I can have a bit of cat-titude so an adult only home or perhaps older kids would be best for me. Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.

More about this rescue

Founded in 1992 the Community Animal Welfare Society ( CAWS) is one of the oldest no-kill animal rescues in Utah. Over the last 20 years CAWS, our fosters and supporters have saved thousands of lives including over 600 last this year. As the largest foster home network in the state of Utah we focus on high risk pets in need of additional care and rehabilitation
