Mina loves being the center of attention! She is beautiful, social and spunky, a real charmer, and a real catch! Mina is not afraid of meeting new people and will gladly greet your guests at the door.
Mina loves to play on her cat tower, and can be observed performing kitty flips, while chasing her favorite wand toy. She is not a lap cat, per say, but Mina does like to cuddle with your feet on the couch, while watching her favorite tv show. At bedtime, Mina likes to lay on your chest, so she can wish you sweet dreams. Mina desires "staying in touch", but not enough to interfere with your work from home. She's the perfect 'stay at home' companion!
Mina was rescued by a CCR volunteer, crying outside a building that we expect had once been her home. We are so excited for her to find a true home-for-life! We think Mina will do best in a home where she is the only kitty and doesn't have to share you love.
We will be placing Mina with a laid back male adult cat so she has a buddy around her energy level.
If you would like to meet and possibly adopt this amazing feline, email info@chicagocatrescue.org or call 773/203-0215. No texts, please.
CCR adopts to forever homes in Chicago or the very near suburbs that are within 10 miles of our Chicago foster families. We love our cats and we pledge support for the rest of their lives, which is why our location limits are in place. We appreciate your understanding. If you are outside of these limits, please check petfinder.com, which allows searching by zip code, for cats closer to your home.
At Chicago Cat Rescue, we are dedicated to both the physical and emotional well being of the cats and kittens in our care. For this reason, unless expressly stated, we do not place cats or kittens in homes where they will be the only cat. Generally cats love the company of other cats, and can become quite lonely when living alone.
Kittens will only be placed in pairs, or to join another kitten or young cat in your home.
Chicago Cat Rescue is an entirely foster based organization. Our ability to help more cats in need is dependent on our availability of foster homes. If you think you could provide a loving foster situation for a cat in need, or would like to learn more about our foster program, please email us, info@chicagocatrescue.org. Thank you!

Mina, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.
Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
