Meet Boss Lady! This 2-year-old velvet hippo was picked up as a stray in South Carolina and taken to a rural shelter where it was discovered she was heartworm positive. She was treated for heartworms and has been recovering in her foster home. We do not know much about Boss Lady's past but we do know she is super affectionate with her foster mom and loves her canine and feline foster siblings. Boss Lady is crate and house trained too! She cannot wait to learn what is means to be a loved family member!
