My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello!  My name is Callie and I am an outgoing, good looking Collie with a zest for life! I am 2-3 years old.  I am a lover of people in general.  I adore other dogs, especially if they will play with me!  I find cats boring so I ignore them.

My favorite things include working myself in to a frenzy playing with people or another friendly dog, humans who shower me with affection and belly rubs, food in general,  car rides, dog parks and sleeping on my back with my legs in the air.  (Easier access for passing humans to offer a belly rub)

My dream home would be one with another dog to play with.  I live with several dogs in my foster home and I am definitely low on the totem pole here.  That’s okay though.  I have no problem being a follower so alpha males or females and I get along great.  Just chase me around the yard once in a while and let me bark at you.  Oh yeah, I would REALLY like a yard because I do get hyperactive when I get excited.  A doggy door would be nice too.  This makes things so much easier.  I can let myself out and you can just wait for me to get tired and come back for a belly rub.  No need to get up…

I was found wandering around a neighborhood and I was underweight and very scared.  The vet seems to think I used to live in a puppy mill because I have worn down my front teeth by chewing on something hard like metal bars on a crate.  I’m spayed now though!  Now that I have settled in to my foster home, all my personality is back and people can see what a total lover I am.  My Foster Mom is so happy that I am heartworm negative and very healthy.  She even had the vet remove my little mammary tumor thing and test it.  It was benign!  (Whatever that means)  Now I am ready to find a forever home and a forever person to love!

The only questions I have for you are:
1. What kind of a couch do you have and would it fit an adult Collie taking a nap with her legs in the air?
2. What are your belly rubbing qualifications and do your hands tire easily?
3. When can we meet???
