COURTESY POST (NJ) - Ellie is a senior love bug that has been in boarding for a whole year due to her family losing their home during COVID and then not being able to bring her to the new housing. They cannot afford to pay for boarding much longer so we are helping her family find her a new home.

Ellie is an 11-year-old 55-pound terrier mix in good health. Her owners tell us she is a happy pup that does not act her age. She's great with all adults and she absolutely LOVES people. She wants to be around them and loves to just cuddle. She really enjoys lounging around and being able to look out the window or sunbathe. She usually gets nighttime zoomies but other than that, is mellow and lounges around the house. She likes to be tucked in under a blanket and be kept warm. She has select toys (tough toys that she cannot ingest) that she loves to play with.

Her perfect home would be a low-key place without a lot of foot traffic with older kids or adults only. No other pets in the home would be ideal but she may do OK with a submissive dog with owners with breed experience. She has been through so much and just needs a stress-free place where she doesn't need to adjust to a lot. She needs a home where her family understands she will need to settle into her new life and home and give her the time to do so.

Ellie is up to date on vaccines and spayed. Her adoption fee is $250. Please note this is not a LOVEPAWS dog so this will be a private adoption between the owner and applicant with the help of LOVEPAWS.
