Here comes Kindhearted, Kissable, Kooky Kira!
Are you looking for a new member of your kin? Well, look no further! My name is Kira! I’m an approximately 6 month old spayed female. I’m also quite the knockout; I’m about 35 pounds of gorgeous pittie! I was rescued by The Cantu Foundation when my family brought me to the vet to be put down because they didn’t want me anymore... can you believe that?! But the vet was my knight in shining armor: they reached out to TCF and saved my life! I’m very knowledgeable; I’m already potty trained and working on my crate training I do well in my crate if I have a bone to chew on before I fall asleep. I’m not leash trained yet, but I think I’ll probably be keen on learning!
I’m high energy, so I’d love to run around ‘til I’m knackered. My foster mom thinks I’d be great for agility activities! I love to be near people and other dogs. I’m food protective right now, but my foster mom and I are working on fixing that. I also only have a little bit of separation anxiety; I whimper a little bit when my foster mom leaves the home, but it’s just cuz I love her so much!
If my foster mom could describe me in three words, she’d say “SO MUCH POTENTIAL!” She says I will need a home that is going to take the time to train me. I have a king-sized personality: I’m smart, friendly, outgoing, cuddly… the list goes on and on. I’m also energetic; I’m a very kinetic kind of dog. I need an active home, so if you’re looking for a running partner, I’m your gal! I’d also be great in a home with other dogs. Playing with pups is my favorite thing to do. I’ve never met a kitty before, but I’ve met kids and I’m good with them too! If you think I sound like a kindred spirit, maybe you’d like to adopt me! I’d love a kind family for my forever home!
