My story

Meet Jasper and Tommy! These cuties met up at a BAA foster home after Tommy's family gave him up when they moved and Jasper was seen being physically pushed out of a carrier on the street. The pair became fast friends and were soon inseparable. Both boys won't hesitate to cuddle up with their humans, lay upside down, or ask for pats.

When they're not cuddling or playing with their humans, they love to play together (a lot), wrestle, and chase each other around the house and up and down their cat tree. You can also find them grooming each other regularly!

Tommy is more relaxed and likes sleeping, especially in the sun--his best subject in grade school was lunch. He is very simpatico with his humans and shouldn't take too long to get acquainted with his fur-ever home.

They're not too shy with strangers, though Jasper takes a little time to get used to new people; once he does, he'll constantly let you know how much he loves you! Jasper is very agile and has some serious "cat-like reflexes!" Jasper can be very high energy, so the boys will do well with a family that can both play with him when he needs it, and give him space when he's trying to relax.

Because of their energy levels, Jasper and Tommy will do best in a larger home with an experienced adopter and no children.

*They MUST be adopted together.*

Jasper and Tommy are neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. If you're interested in this pair, please fill out an application at www.brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms and designate Jennie AnneS as the rescuer. For questions, contact jennieanne@brooklynanimalaction.org.

Thanks so much for your interest in a rescued kitty! All adoption fees and donations go to saving the next sweetie on the street.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Interested adopters first fill out an adoption application, after which they can visit our animals in their foster homes. If they would like to adopt and their application is approved, they then complete an adoption contract. We also ask for an adoption fee to help us continue our work.

Go meet their pets

Please email us at adopt@brooklynanimalaction.org or contact the e-mail in the individual listing if you are interested in meeting one of our rescued animals. We hold Saturday adoption events at Unleashed by Petco in Park Slope and Petsmart on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn (check our website and Facebook page for more information) and have cats at Bushy Tails pet store in Bushwick and Petsmart.
