My story

Hi! My name's Santana.

I came to Valley Animal Center in August of 2020 with my litter of 6 puppies! I was a good mom and took care of my babies for as long as they needed me. Now that my puppies are all grown up and found their own homes, it's my turn!

I love going on long walks, playing with good chew toys and getting all the attention I can get. Giving hugs and sneaking in kisses are also my favorite things to do.

An adult household is what I need, and I would need to be the only pet because I'm not too fond of other dogs. I love having all the attention!

I can get very nervous meeting new people, so I would benefit in someone willing to come down to meet me a few times before going into a new home!

If you are my furever home, come visit me at Valley Animal Center's dog adoption center. They're open seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

To get a head start on the adoption process, you can also fill out the online pre-adoption application! After you fill it out, a dog care associate will contact you shortly. The form is found here: https://valleyanimal.org/dog-adoption-application/

I hope to see you soon!

More about this shelter

Valley Animal Center houses thousands of dogs and cats annually until they are placed in loving homes. Majority of our shelter animals are rescued from local animal control agencies who have no more space for their animals. Even animals who have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured are cared for and nurtured until a loving home is ready to adopt them. We are easily accessible to the residents of the entire six-county region it serves. Even individuals from out of the area and out of state have come to Valley Animal Center to adopt animals from us and utilize our clinic services. Our mission is to unite dogs and cat with loving people but it does not simply end at the adoption process. With our low-cost clinic, a membership-based dog park, and humane education resources found on our website, we want to ensure our community has easy access to resources that will help them along in their pet ownership journey.
