**Courtesy Post** Marcie is a little 2 year old girl that needs a new home. All vet work is done. She is super healthy and energetic! But, Marcie has not had a good life. She had a litter of puppies and was then abandoned in a crate. Thanks to kind and wonderful people she now has a great life. She has come such a long way trusting people and dogs which was not the case in the beginning...which was understandable. One of her favorite things to do is go on walks, especially if she can stalk squirrels and lizards too. Marcie is a “toy hog” meaning every toy is out of the toy box when she’s playing with them. One of her pups lives nearby and comes over to have play dates and she loves playing with him. She gets along fantastic with my own personal dog (9 yrs 8 lbs...female) and is doing great meeting other dogs (especially smaller dogs) on our walks. She is potty trained which is awesome. Sometimes she will sleep on my bed or on a dog bed. The ideal owner would be someone that understands her back story and will give her the time to come around. She’s not a lap dog...yet...although, she truly enjoys your company. I couldn’t touch her at first but she’s come so far and will “bump her nose” on you to let you know she does like you. She does not like kids or cats. Marcie needs to have a large securely fenced yard. No chain link. No wrought iron unless it is screened or has puppy bars. Marcie loves to run! She truly enjoys zoomies! Please let Special Pals or myself know if you feel that you could be the right home for Marcie. I would say she is about 80 percent Jack Russell mixed with some other small type dog. When she goes on walks she has a great “Gait”. She holds her head high...she is a real prancer! Her adoption fee is $200. Her adopter must be willing and able to drive to the Houston, Texas area to get her.
