My story

Scooby is an approximately 7.5yr old German Shepherd mix and he quickly captured several of our hearts. He is very sweet and very fond of people, especially children. He is wickedly smart as he already knows several tricks such as sit, lie down, and stay. In fact, he is so smart, he is the first dog we have met that can open any door out there. Doorknob is round? No worries he can use both front paws to turn it and open the door. So instead of kid proofing the house you will need to Scooby proof your house or he will let himself out at any time! He is sure to win your heart and a place in your home. Scooby is good with other large dogs, but no small dogs or cats.

More about this rescue

Homeward Bound Waggin is an all volunteer animal rescue and transport organization. We pull animals slated to be euthanized in our rural area and then find no kill rescues in other parts of the country that can take them. We also make them available for adoption in a broader geographical area.
