12/24 Update: Dancer has seen our orthopedic specialist, and we learned she is missing all the bone from her elbow down on her left front limb. At this time she is not a candidate for a prosthetic limb but luckily for her she does not need it! She gets around wonderful on three legs and loves to "hop" around the yard and play with all her foster siblings.
SPECIAL NEEDS PUPPY
Dancer and nine siblings were surrendered to one of our local shelters because the owner could not care for all of them. We immediately picked them up that same day and brought them to the safety of the rescue!
Dancer is an adorable little pit bull puppy. As of 12/13, she is 10 weeks old and 11.4 lbs. Dancer was born with a deformity to her front leg. She gets around fine on three legs, but she will be seeing our orthopedic specialist to get fitted for a custom prosthetic limb. Check back in a few weeks to see her progress!
She is friendly with all dogs, kids, and humans. She has not been officially tested with cats but due to her young age would most likely do fine with a proper introduction. Dancer is looking for a forever home with the time, patience, and resources to train her to become the best dog she can be.
