My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mousse is currently being fostered in HOUSTON, TEXAS. She is available for out-of-state adoption as well to the perfect family. Her adoption fee is $400, which cover her transportation to her new family, and she is completely vetted.**

Hi there, my name is Mousse and I am estimated to be around 1 year old! As you can tell by my photos, my coloring is very unique and beautiful, with a lot of brindle mixed into my fur. I was turned over with my mom to these wonderful rescue ladies and boy was that the best day of my life! I absolutely love everyone I meet (including small kids!) and greet them with wiggles and so much enthusiasm. You see, us dogs are very forgiving that way, even when our lives in the past have been pretty rough, we see the good in the humans that want to help us and give us love and affection!

I LOVE other dogs and playing and running with them. If you have an active dog in your family that would be so great for me. If you take me on long walks or go to the park, that will be a good backup plan if no dog in your house. I am also great with kitties and was raised with cats/kittens at the house where I was born. I even shared what food I had with the cats. This is pretty rare for dogs I hear! That tells you what a good girl I truly am.

My mom is a Great Pyrenees mix (yes you heard that right-BIG and FLUFFY!) and did her best to protect me on the awful streets. The rest of my siblings did not survive so I am what my foster mom calls a miracle. She tells me how much I am loved and so lucky to be rescued. I guess she is right because man is this home so good! But…she tells me I need my very own family so she can save another doggie who needs help. I think I am ready!

I came with an older injury to my rear left leg. They think I was hit by a car and it fractured my leg but since I did not get any help, it healed a bit overlapped. My foster mom has taken me to 3 vets to have it evaluated and they all agree that since it is 100% healed and no danger of reinjury etc,, that it is best to leave it as is. It’s just another thing that makes me special!

I am house trained and also learned to use the dog good here, I love leash walks and am learning leash skills more every day. Again, my ideal family would be very active and love to spend time with me.

I have been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and am ready to go!

If I sound like a perfect match for your family, please complete the online adoption application at www.pawhuggers.org, hover over the Adoptables tab and then click on Adoption Application. This is required before we consider your adoption. Email us at pawhuggers@gmail.com for more information. MY adoption fee is $400 which covers the cost of transport as well.
