My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Baku is a 2 year old male American Akita. He's purebred and has AKC registration. He came to our family because his previous owner could not keep him. Our family already has 4 other dogs and one of them does not get along with Baku. Hoeever, Baku is a very sweet boy and likes to be near family and our other dogs. He has not been around cats much and is curious about them. He's housebroken and follows some basic commands. He loves to be petted and loves to play. He would do well in a home that can spend time with him since he likes to be active. He would need an owner who's not easily intimidated by large dogs, who is firm but loving, patient, and who is willing to train him. These dogs have strong characters and need an owner who is able to be a strong leader. For that reason, I do not recommend a home with young children. A fenced yard is a must since these dogs have a wandering spirit. Baku has a really great temperament and would make a great family member.
