Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We would like to re-introduce Auntie Rose!
She is a 1-2 year old heeler mix who is about 50 pounds. She is a very sweet cuddle bug with a goofy personality. When she is happy her entire body wiggles with her tail. Her favorite place is right next to her human on the couch.
Rosie came to us right after the new year, along with her niece and nephew puppies. When they were adopted pretty quickly, she fell into a funk and didn't want to get off the couch, not even to go potty outside. After a couple months to adjust, foster mom decided to reach out to a trainer and try some medication. And the combination worked wonders for Miss Rose! She is gaining more confidence every day.
Rosie will need an adopter who is willing to be her leader and continue working with her to build her confidence. Right now she needs some assistance to go outside on her own, but foster mama thinks it's really easy and will show her adopters what needs to be done.
Rose is looking for a quiet home with a patient family who is willing to work with her to build a relationship and help her overcome her fears. This will most likely mean multiple visits to gain her trust before adoption. She also does not do well on a leash, so a fenced in yard is a must for her. She would love to have a dog companion in the household if possible.
Rose is spayed, microchipped and up to date on shots. Her adoption fee is $250. If you think you might be the right fit for Rose, please fill out an application at https://form.jotform.com/73194734170154
