My story

Molly came into rescue with Lady when their owner moved into an apartment and was told by the landlord that he could not keep them. We believe Lady to be lab/terrier mix. From what we were told by her owner, Molly had a rough start early in life. She was originally owned by someone else who moved out of state and left her tied outside without food or water. Molly was saved by this owner and given a decent life. Molly has had 2 litters of puppies, who all found homes but Molly wants her chance to have a stable, loving home. Molly is approx 3 years old and is really a sweet girl. She gets along well with kids and dogs of all ages and sizes. Cats are unknown and we do not know if she has ever had any experience with cats. She is very gentle and enjoys attention. Molly is crate trained and will go out but we never guarantee any of our dogs to be housebroken. Molly weighed 46.6 pounds at her vet visit on 1/21/21. She is spayed and ready to find a family to spend her days and nights cuddling with. She is a somewhat (initially) shy but happy girl ready to share her affections with a family of her own. Molly, unfortunately, tested positive for heartworms but has started the monthly ivermectin treatment, which is very inexpensive and easy to give. Her new owner will just need to keep her on a monthly ivermectin dose until she receives a negative heartworm test. This can be a slow process but it does work and we have successfully treated many heartworm positive dogs this way through the years.Molly also has some leg deformities and issues on her right side. We did x-rays on back leg as the knee is very unstable and routinely pops in and out. Vet said the surgery to fix can be very costly but she can be managed with a pain management regimen. Vet is unsure if this is something that she was born with or if it is the result of a traumatic injury (such as a hit by car) at some point in her life but eventually, she will probably develop arthritis and difficulties walking, although that is probably many years down the road. She runs, walks and gets around normally right now although she will, occasionally limp. Although we understand that these issues greatly impact her adoptable "appeal", we hope that someone can see past physical limitations and will see the beauty of her soul. This girl is so loving and kind and will make an amazing companion!
Molly''s adoption fee will be $175 and will help to cover her vetting and cost of care while with us. If interested in giving Molly her forever home, please complete and submit our adoption application and interest via email. You may also FB message, text only to (352)215-3260.(phone calls will not be answered or returned from this number but it is the best and quickest option for contact) or call 352-493-1255 (leave message if no answer).

More about this rescue

We are a small rescue started in September 2004. To date, we have adopted out over 600 dogs and cats who may not have had a second chance. We rescue the majority of our pets from kill shelters and have them thoroughly vetted prior to going to their new homes. All of our pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm checked(dogs) and dewormed. We also microchip our dogs so that they can always find their way home. Big and small, we work to rehome them all. We are always in need of donations so if you can help us to help our pets, please contact us! The more people who get involved, the more pets that we can save! You can also see our pets and/or fill out our adoption application on We look forward to hearing from you and making that "forever match"!
