Hera and Panzer, who came in together, have a sad story. Due to a domestic violence situation, they were brought to the shelter for temporary boarding. Their owner needed to find a place both for herself and the dogs. The humane officer gave ample time because of the situation, but sadly the owner didn't return. Even though their story is sad, their days at the shelter have likely been the best days they have experienced. When they arrived, they were skinny and full of hook worms. Panzer's leg had a cut all the way to the bone with severe infection. Hera, the female is around 6 yrs old, already spayed, up to date on shots including bordetella. She weighs approximately 60 lbs. Panzer, the male, is around 13 yrs old, also up to date on shots and weighs approximately 45 lbs. They have been at the shelter since March 11, 2020. They love to go for walks with volunteers. Hera and Panzer keep a clean kennel, so they would be easy to house break. They are quiet in their kennel and take treats very gently. Look at this senior stud muffin! Panzer loves to go for walks, a good treat, and people. He is 13 years old but you would never guess it. He's a good boy, he is strong but has decent leash manners. He would love to be in his forever home before Christmas! If you are considering two or would like Panzer to have a doggy companion, he and Hera love each other.
