18 POUNDS OF BEAGLE ADORABLENESS!!!

UPDATE 1/30/21.

Eighteen pounds of beagle adorableness is easy to love. With velveteen ears, soulful eyes, black and tan fur beautifully balanced, Earl could challenge any movie star dog for cuteness.

Estimated to be 2-3 years old, he is a quiet little guy at Almost Home. Though he is slightly wary, this small gentleman enjoys calm attention, food puzzle toys, and special treats.

He was friendly toward us from the beginning, yet if we tried to leash him, or if he thought we were out to grab him, he would shy away from us.  His eyes told us, he interpreted this as capture. With patient convincing, it did not take long for him to understand that a leash isn’t a bad thing, and that being petted was kind of nice. His little heart is coming to believe that no one is out to get him, and his trust and confidence builds daily.

Poor Earl was left abandoned and infected with heart worms before Animal Control picked him up for his own safety.  No one came to say he was theirs and take him home.  Now that he is with us, we are making sure he can have a healthy happy life. Earl will begin Heart-worm treatment in April.

Earl would do best in a calm household with patient folks who want to share their home with a gentle dog who needs tender care.

Are you the person who can give this worthy little dog a chance to have the good life he deserves?

NOTE: All animals are spayed/neutered as soon as practical after arriving at our facility unless there is a medical issue that may cause a delay or they are too young to be spayed/neutered.
